FOURTH STREET AND FRENCH STREET AND ESTABLISHING A
"NO STOPPING" ZONE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF FIFTH STREET
FROM ROSS STREET TO FRENCH STREET AND ESTABLISHING
'~0 PARKING" ZONES ON GOLDEN CIRCLE DRIVE
WHEREAS, changes in the traffic flow in the downtown area
of the City of Santa Ana have brought about a need for additional
driving lanes in certain locations; and
WHEREAS, additional driving lanes can be provided by the
creation of "no stopping" areas and the abolition of parking;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That parking is hereby
prohibited on the east and west side of French Street from Fourth
Street to Fifth Street; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That parking is hereby prohibited
on the south side of Fourth Street from French Street to 119 feet
east of the center line of French Street; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That parking is hereby prohibited
on both sides of the circular portion of Golden Circle Drive
north of Fourth Street;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a "NO STOPPINGBETWEEN THE
HOURS OF 4:30 P.M. AND 5:30 P.M., EXCEPT SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, AND
HOLIDAYS" is hereby established on the south side of Fifth Street,
from Ross Street to French Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Director of Public Works
is hereby directed to cause signs to be erected to effectuate the
regulations as hereinab6ve described.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 5th day of May, 1969.
