PORTION OF SUNFLOWER AVENUE, EAST OF FAIRVIEW
STREET, RESERVING EASEMENTS THEREIN FOR PUBLIC
UTILITIES
WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public Works
and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, Resolution
69-78 was adopted giving notice of intention to vacate that portion
of Sunflower Avenue, 60 feet in width, between the new alignment of
Sunflower Avenue and Fairview Street, reserving therein easements
for the Pacific Telephone Company and the City of Santa Ana; and

WHEREAS, on June 16th, 1969, a public'as duly held on said
vacation on posted notices and the publication of Resolution 69-78;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the city Council of the
city of Santa Ana hereby finds that that portion of Sunflower Avenue,
60 feet in width, between the new alignment of Sunflower Avenue and
Fairview Street, is unnecessary for present or prospective street
purposes and does hereby make its order abandoning and vacating it
for street purposes, RESERVING THEREIN easements for the Pacific
Telephone Company and the city of Santa Ana. The right o'f way
being abandoned lies within the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
State of california, and is described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the center line of Fairview
Road ( formerly Old Newport Road, 60.00 feet wide) with the
center line of Sunflower Avenue (formerly Wakeham Avenue, 60.00
feet wide); thence North 88" 59' 30" East along said center line
of Sunflower Avenue to a point on a parallel line which is 57.00
feet Easterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of
Fairview Street and to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North
88" 59' 30" East along said center line of Sunflower Avenue, a
distance of 725.86 feet; thence North 75" 24' 04" East 46.30
feet to a tangent curve concave Southeasterly having a radius
of 1,040.00 feet; thence Northeasterly along said curve through
a central angle of 5" 38' 19" an arc distance of 102.35 feet to
a point on a parallel line which is 30.00 feet Northerly, measured
at right angles, from said center line of Sunflower Avenue; thence
South 88Q 59' 30" West along last mentioned parallel line, a
distance of 845.68 feet to a tangent curve concave Northeasterly
and having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence Northwesterly along
said curve through a central angle of 90° 43' 00", an arc distance
of 39.58 feet to a point on a parallel line which is 57.00 feet
Easterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of
Fairview Street; thence Southerly along last mentioned parallel
line, a distance of 55.31 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
RESERVING AN EASEMENT AND RIGHT OF WAY over the Northerly
10.00 feet of the above-described to construct, place, operate,
inspect, maintain, repair, replace, remove and enlarge lines of
pipe and other structures, equipment and fixtures for the
operation of utilities as the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph
Company may, from time to time, require.
ALSO RESERVING AN EASEMENT AND RIGHT OF WAY over the Northerly
20.00 feet of the Southerly 26.00 feet of the above-described
property to construct, place, operate, inspect, maintain, repair,
replace, remove and enlarge lines of pipe and other structures,
equipment and fixtures for the operation of water lines as the
city of Santa Aha may, from time to time, require.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the city Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the
