OF FIRST STREET FOR WHICH THE CITY IS PAYING
A CASH CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS, HARLEY H. HOWELL and GRACE F. HOWELL, husband and
wife, have executed a deed dated September 17, 1969, conveying to
the city of Santa Ana real property located on the south side of
First Street and the east side of Baker Street, to be used for
street purposes, for which the city is paying a cash consideration
of $440.00. The transaction is to be handled through escrow
numbered 56672-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa
Aha, California; and
WHEREAS, NELSON HOLMWOOD and EDNA L. HOLMWOOD, husband and
wife, have executed a deed dated September 12, 1969, conveying to
the City of Santa Ana real property located on the south side of
First Street and the west side of Booth Street, to be used for
street purposes, for which the City is paying a cash consideration
of $375.00. The transaction is to be handled through escrow
numbered 56676-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
california; and
WHEREAS, MILDRED A. SUHR, a married woman, and WILLIAM
THOMAS MERRILL, a married man, have executed a deed dated
September 16, 1969, conveying to the city of Santa Ana real
property located on the south side of First Street and the west
side of Van Ness Avenue, to be used for street purposes, for which
the City is paying a cash consideration of $300.00. The trans-
action is to be handled through escrow numbered 56644-C with
Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, HEMAN W. STANDARD and DOROTHY STANDARD, husband
and wife, have executed a deed dated August 29, 1969, conveying
to the City of Santa Ana real property located on ~e south side
of First Street and the west side of Birch Street, to be used for
street purposes, for which the City is paying a cash consideration
of $585.00. The transaction is to be handled through escrow
numbered 56646-C with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana,
California; and
WHEREAS, GUADALUPE PALACIO and RAQUEL PALACI0, husband and
wife, have executed a deed dated September 2, 1969, conveying to
the City of Santa Ana real property located on the north side of
First Street, east of olive Street, the south 40 feet thereof to
be used for street purposes, for which the City is paying a cash
consideration of $7,900.00. The transaction is to be handled
through escrow numbered 56650-C with Security Title Insurance
Company, Santa Ana, california; and
WHEREAS, ARTHUR W. VOLLRATH and IRENE D. VOLLRATH, husband
and wife, have executed a deed dated September 26, 1969, conveying
to the city of Santa Ana real property on the north side of First
Street and the east side of Olive Street, the south 40 feet and a
spandrel shaped parcel described as:
A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded southerly by
the North line of said Southerly 40.00 feet, bounded
Westerly by the West line of said Lot 6 and bounded
Northeasterly by the arc of a curve concave Northeast-
erly having a radius of 25.00 feet and being tangent
to said Southerly and Westerly boundaries;
to be used for street purposes, for which the City is paying a
cash consideration of $11,200.00. The transaction is to be
handled through escrow numbered 56712-C with Security Title
Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California; and

WHEREAS, MYRTLE IRENE DREBLOW has executed a deed dated
September 30, 1969, conveying to the City of Santa Ana real prop-
erty located on the north side of First Street, west of Olive
Street, the southerly 40 feet thereof to be used for street purposes,
for which the City is paying a cash consideration of $16,350.00.
The transaction is to be handled through escrow numbered 56719 with
Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California; and
WHEREAS, JAMES E. HEIM, Public Administrator and Administrator
of the estate of JOSE DIAZ HERNANDEZ, has executed a deed dated
September 8, 1969, conveying to the City of Santa Ana real property
located on the north side of First Street, west of Daisy Avenue,
the following described land to be used for street purposes:
Ail those portions of Lot 3, Block B of the Fisher
Tract, City of Santa Ana, as shown on a map recorded
in Book 4, Page 90 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the
office of the County Recorder of Orange County lying
Southerly of a line parallel with and distant 50.00
feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the
following described center line:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Daisy Street,
distant 20.00 feet Northerly from the center line of
First Street, as shown on said map of the Fisher Tract;
thence Southwesterly in a straight line to a point on
the center line of First Street distant 400.00 feet
Westerly from the center line intersection of said
Daisy Street and First Street.
for which the City is paying a cash consideration of $10,350.00.
The transaction is to be handled through escrow numbered 56643-C
with Security Title Insurance Company, Santa Ana, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the escrow instructions; that the city of
Santa Ana accepts said deeds, and the Clerk of the Council is
directed to cause said deeds together with a copy of this Resolu-
tion to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of October, 1969.
