HomeMy WebLinkAbout69-162RESOLUTION 69-162 DESIGNATING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING TO HUD APPLICATION IN RESPONSE TO RFPH 2-70 MUNICIPAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS W~EREAS, the City of Santa Ana is desirous of submitting an application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for a grant of approximately $380,000 for the design and develop- ment of an information system that will provide a more effective police, fire, and disaster control coordinated information base for the conduct of City operations; and W~EREAS, the administrative requirements defined in the Technical Proposal include the following significant items: (a) The system will be designed based on the Santa Ana City system and be operationally developed with the Santa Ana municipal jurisdiction. (b) The proposed consortium to carry out the project will be formed under the direction of the City of Santa Ana. (c) A full-time municipal employee will be assigned as project leader. (d) The City's intent to use the developed system. (e) The City's willingness to participate with other HUD contractors and interested municipalities in discussions and/or briefings on the system being developed. (f) The City's intent to develop a long-range municipal information system plan utilizing results from the project; and WHEREAS, final approval of costs will be made by the City Manager's office prior to proposal submittal on October 27, 1969; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Manager is hereby designated and authorized to execute any and all pertinent documents necessary to complete the acceptance of the application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
