RESOLUTION 70-3
WHEREAS, on April 6, 1965, Walter Brooks was
elected to the City Council of the City of Santa Aha as the
representative from Ward 7; and
WHEREAS, on April 1, 1969~ he was returned to office
by the citizens of the city; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure as a councilman, and until
his resignation effective December 31, 1969, Walter Brooks was
a courageous spokesman, known and respected for his qualities
of objectivity and fairness; and
WHEREAS, Walter Brooks demonstrated his leadership
qualities by participating extensively in matters of concern to
the City and its citizens, by serving selflessly upon Council
committees, and by seeking continually for methods by which to
improve the services rendered by City officials to the community;
and
WHEREAS, as a Councilman, and privately, Mr. Brooks
was at the vanguard of programs designed to improve community
relations; and
WHEREAS, in all endeavors Walter Brooks was, and is,
possessed of the highest integrity, which fact alone adds weight
and credibility to his expressions of opinion; and
WHEREAS, he has earned the admiration and respect of all
persons with whom and in whose interests he has dealt;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The the City
Council of the City of Santa Aha, on its own behalf and in a repre-
sentative capacity for the citizens of Santa Ana hereby offers this
Resolution as a symbolic statement of appreciation to Walter Brooks
for his service to the City of Santa Aha and in gratitude for his
bestowing upon his fellow citizens the benefits of his many rich
qualities.

I, FLORENCE I. MALONE, do hereby certify that I am the
Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana, California; that the
foregoing Resolution was introduced to said Council at its regular
meeting held on the 16th day of February, 1970, and was at said
meeting passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
