CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA TO COMBINE "TOPICS"
FUNDS APPORTIONED TO THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
1969-1970 WITH THE APPORTIONMENT FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1970-1971
WHEREAS, by letters dated January 23, 1970 and May 5, 1970,
received from the Department of Public Works of the State of Cali-
fornia, the City of Santa Ana has been notified that there has
been apportioned to it the sum of $197,575 under the Federal
"TOPICS" program for the fiscal year 1969-1970, and the sum of
$198,705 for the fiscal year 1970-1971; and
WHEREAS, such notification requires that the city notify
said Department of Public Works which option the City of Santa Ana
chooses with regard to the use of such "TOPICS" funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the city of Santa Ana hereby elects to combine the "TOPICS" funds
for the fiscal year 1969-1970 with those for the fiscal year 1970-
1971 for use on a high priority project in the city of Santa Ana
to be determined by the "TOPICS" Area-wide Study;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council
shall send a certified copy of this Resolution to the Department
of Public Works of the State of California at 1120 N Street,
Sacramento, california 95814;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council shall
certify to the passage and adoption of this Resolution, and it
shall be in immediate force and effect.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the city Council of the city of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20th day of July, 1970.
