FOR A HOUSING AUTHORITY IN THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA AND APPROVING
THE APPLICATION OF THE PROVISIONS OF
SECTION 23 OF THE UNITED STATES HOUSING
ACT OF 1937, AS AMENDED, TO THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Santa Ana, as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California,
pursuant to the Housing Authorities Law of the State of California, and
particularly Article 2 thereof, hereby determines, finds and declares
that:
(a) There is a shortage of safe and sanitary
dwelling accommodations in the City of Santa Aha, California,
available to persons of low income at rentals they can afford.
(b) There is a need for a Housing Authority to
function in the City of Santa Ana, California.
SECTION 2. The City Council therefore declares that the appli-
cation 0~ the pro.visions of Section 23 of the Housing Act of 1937, as
amended, to the City of Santa Ana is hereby approved.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of July , 1971.
