HomeMy WebLinkAbout71-082RESOLUTION NO. 71-8Z RESOLUTION SETTING TIME OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER THE PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE ACQUISITION OF RIGHTS OF WAY AND IMPROVEMENT WORK ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 225 SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California is considering the formation of a special assess- ment district under and pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California for the purpose of the following described acquisition of permanent rights of way for street purposes and the construction and installation of the following described work and improvement: Concrete curb and gutter, concrete cross gutters, concrete sidewalks, asphalt-concrete pavement over aggregate base material, asphalt-concrete street surfacing, concrete drive- way approaches, sanitary sewer works, the adjustment of exist- ing manholes to the grade of said work, roadway excavation, the removal of existing street pavement, encroaching block walls, and all other obstacles in the line of work, all together with appurtenances and appurtenant work, together with the acquisition of necessary permanent rights of way for street purposes, as said work and acquisition is shown upon the plans, profiles and detail drawings thereof in file in the office of the Director of public works of said City of Santa Ana, and approved by said City Council by its Resolution No. 71-81 adopted September 7, 1971~ and WHEREAS, said City Council desires to hold a public hearing, concurrently with the protest hearing under the resolution of intention to be adopted in this proceeding, for the purpose of finding and determining whether the public convenience and necessity require such acquisition and improvement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, in regular session assembled, that said public hearing shall be conducted by said City Council con- currently with the protest hearing under the resolution of inten- tion to be hereafter adopted herein, in the council chambers in the City Hall Annex in said City of Santa Ana, California on Monday, the 1st day of November. 1971 at 7:30 o'clock P.M. of said date, or as soon thereafter as said public hearing can be held, for the purpose of finding and determining whether the public convenience and necessity require such acquisition and improvement. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of the time and place of said public hearing shall be set forth in the resolution of intention to be adopted in this assessment district proceeding, and that the Clerk of the Council shall give notice of said public hearing in the time and manner provided in Section 33-45 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code.
