RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SANTA
ANA AUTHORIZING CONDE~ATION OF REAL
PROPERTY FOR THE WIDENING OF SEVENTEENTH
STREET FROM MAIN TO ROSS
WHEREAS, in order to provide for a more orderly flow
of traffic on Seventeenth Street in the City of Santa Ana
it has become necessary to widen and improve said street
from Main to Ross Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that
the public interest and necessity require that Seventeenth
Street be widened and improved from Main to Ross Street to
provide for a more orderly flow of east-west traffic, and
further require that said City do have, take, and acquire
for street purposes that certain real property in the City
of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, des-
cribed as:
PARCEL 1:
The Northerly 27.00 feet of the Westerly
60.50 feet of Lot 20 of the Barton Tract
in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange
State of California, as per map recorded
in Book 6, Page 18 of Miscellaneous Maps,
in the office of the County Recorder of
said County.
Excepting therefrom that portion previously
dedicated to the City of Santa Ana for street
purposes.
PARCEL 2:
A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded
Northerly by the Southerly line of Parcel
1 above described; bounded Westerly by the
West line of said Lot 20; bounded Southerly
by the arc of a curve concave Southeasterly,
having a radius of 25.00 feet and being
tangent to said Westerly and Northerly boun-
daries.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is here-~
by ordered to bring an action in the name of the City of Santa
Ana to condemn said property necessary to be taken and to do
all things necessary to prosecute said action to final deter-
mination;
That work is to begin immediately, and it is necessary
for the City of Santa Aha to have possession of the above
described property as soon as possible.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 20%h day of
March , 1972.
