On motion of Councilman Dahl,'seconded by Lar~en and carried, the recommendation of the Plannln~ Commission was approved and variance granted to Daniel E. Cohn et al to permit the establishment of a temporary real estate office' and erection of twelve 3' ~ 5' temporary advertising fe~tur~, signs, ~n~ one "V" type sign, l0~ x 30~ each face, on property at the northwest corner of Bristol Street and Fairvlew Avenue, subject to certain conditions. On motion of Councilman D~hl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted to Ray P. and Kathryn F. Stahmann to permit the construction of a duplex with garage space for two cars, on front portion of lot at 1402 Durant Street, and to. move the .existing four-room dwelling and twO-car garage tO the rear of the lot. On motion of Councilman DabS, seconded by Larsen and carried, the recommendation of the Pla. nning Commission was approved and Variance granted to Baker Develo~.ment to permit erection of an 8~ x l0~ tempo- rary directional sign on property at the southeast corner of Linwood Avenue and E. 17th Street, to advertise the sale of lots in Tract No. 2322, subject to 'a condition. On motion of Councilman Jerdme, seconded by Larsen and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted to Santa ~na Kiwanis Club Foundation to permit construction of a building to be used for a Boy Scout Troop Me-ting House, ~ith off- street parking for at least t'~enty cars, on property at the west end of Santa Clar~ AVenue, the property being more particularly 8escribed- in the application. Communication of the Planning Commission was read submitting Resolution No. 779 recommending the reclassification of property at ~he northwest corner of the intersection of Edinger and Bristol Streets, in accord- ance with amendment application of F. On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the re- quest was granted for construction of four 35' driveways at the -~ In Re Request 'Postmaster (limited parking) locations as shown on the plan. Committee report was given on the request of Frank R. Harwood, Post- master, for tw,~nty-minute zones on both Third S~r~et and Bristol Street for convenience of patrons at the Bri~l Station.
