HomeMy WebLinkAbout72-076RESOLUTION 72-76 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA APPROVING A GROUP OF MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS AS CONSTITUTING A CITY PLAN PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF TITLE 4, DIVISION 4, CHAPTER 4, ARTICLE 1 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, this City Council proposed to call a special bond election on November 7, 1972 within the City of Santa Ana to submit to the voters the question of whether or not bonded indebtedness should be incurred for the following purposes: PROPOSITION A - CITY OF SANTA ANA FIRE PROTECTION AND RESCUE FACILITIES BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ana incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of $2,681,000 for the purpose of additions and improvements to the fire protection system and rescue facilities of the City includ- ing fire stations, additions to the fire alarm and communications system and other fire fighting facilities, including additional fire station sites in various areas of the City, and including for all the foregoing land, furniture, equipment, facilities and all other property necessary therefor? PROPOSITION B - CITY OF SANTA ANA STORM DRAINS AND SEWERS BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ana incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of $4,988,000 for the acquisition and construction by said City of additions and improvements to the storm drainage system of the City; additions, improvemen%s and replacements of the sanitary sewer system of the City including trunk and connecting sewers; and including for all of the foregoing, land, equipment, facilities and all other property necessary therefor? PROPOSITION C - CITY OF SANTA ANA OPEN SPACE LAND ACQUISITION (FOR GREENBELT, PARK AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES) DEVELOPMENT BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ana incur a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of $4,.642,500 for the acquisition of open space and park and recreational facilities development, including establishment and development of neighborhood parks, mini-parks and community recreational facilities throughout the City including neces- sary land and other property rights therefor and for the foregoing, equipment, facilities and all other property necessary therefor? and WHEREAS, this City Council has considered said improvements as providing facilities for the public use, interest, convenience and safety of the City of Santa Ana and the inhabitants thereof; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana has considered said improvements as constituting a City Plan pursuant to the provisions of Title 4, Division 4, Chapter 4 Article 1 of the Government Code of the State of California, by the adoption of its resolution, Resolution No. 6000 on July 24, 1972; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, DOES HEREBY FIND, RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the groups of municipal improvements described in the recitals hereof be and hereby are approved as constituting a City Plan pursuant to Title 4, Division 4, Chapter 4 Article 1 of said Government Code. Section 2. That the groups of municipal improvements may be submitted as three separate bond propositions at said proposed election.
