ADJUS~/~T FOIl EMPLOYEES HIRED Uh~DER THE
EMERGENCY EMPLOYMENT ACT OF 1971 (PEp)
WHEREAS, the City Council on February 22, 1972, adopted Resolution 72-19
authorizing the hiring of specified employees under the Emergency Employment Act
of 1971 and affirmed salary ranges for payment of the classes set forth in said
Resolution, and
WHEREAS, certain additional Public Employment Program (PEP) classes were
authorized in Section 103-126 of the 1972-73 Budget, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is currently considering salary adjustments for
other City employees and it is deemed appropriate to authorize comparable salary
adjustements for the PEP employees as long as the controlling agreement with the
United States Department of Labor remains in effect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana authorizes the allocation of the following PEP classes to the salary ranges
specified on the designated effective date, such percentage adjustments and
effective dates to be identical to those authorized for those City employees
represented by the Santa Ana City Employees' Association:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; That this amendment shall take effect on
September 1 , 1972.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its
regular meeting held on the 5th day of September , 1972.
