A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
URGING THE CONTINUED COOPERATION OF THE CALIFORNIA DIVISION
OF HIGHWAYS ON THE BROADWAY 0VERCROSSING PROJECT AT THE
SANTA ANA FREEWAY
WHEREAS, the need for an additional crossing of the Santa Ana
Freeway, State Route 5, at Broadway has existed for some time, and
WHEREAS, the California Division of Highways has developed a
preliminary desi~a plan for said proposed crossing, and
WHEREAS, in the preliminary design, the California Division of
Highways has consulted with the City Council through the City Director
of Public Works, and has considered the con~nents and recommendations of
this Council in the preliminary design.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that this Council urges the
continued close coordination and cooperation between the California
Division of Highways and the City in the development of the final plans
for this proposed project and further urges the early construction of
this urgently needed crossing of the Santa Aha Freeway.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council send a
copy of this resolution to Mr. H. Ayanian, District Engineer, California
Division of Highways, Los Angeles, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at
its regular meeting held on the 16th day of October~ 1972 .
