A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SANTA
ANA DESIGNATING A REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA
FOR STUDY PURPOSES
WI{EREAS, the City Council of Santa Ana desires that the
area hereinafter described be studied to determine if a Re-
development Project within that area is feasible; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires that a Redevelopment
Project be initiated within the area should it be found that
such a project is feasible; and
WHEREAS, Section 33310 of the California Community Re-
development Law (~ealth and Safety Code Sections 33000, et
seq.) provides that redevelopment survey areas may be desig-
nated by resolution of the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. The City Council designates as a Redevelopment Survey
Area that area bounded on the north by the center line of 17th
Street, on the east by the center line of Grand Avenue, on the
south by the center line of Walnut Street, and on the west by the
center line of Bristol Avenue, shown and described on the map at-
tached hereto and marked as Exhibit "A", and incorporated herein.
2. The City Council finds that said designated area re-
quires study to determine if a Redevelopment Project or Projects
within that area are feasible.
3. The City Council further resolves that the Planning Com-
mission is hereby authorized to, by resolution, select and desig-
nate further Survey Areas for study purposes, and to make recom-
mendations to it.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 18~h day of December
1972.
