A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA,
DECLARING THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS
OF ELECTION RETURNS OF SPECIAL BOND
ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF
NOVEMBER 7, 1972
The City Council of the City of Santa Aha, California, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That a special bond election was duly called and
regularly held in said City on the 7th day of November, 197Z, at which
election there were submitted to the qualified voters of said City the
following propositions, to wit:
PROPOSITION A - CITY OF SANTA ANA
FIRE PROTECTION AND RESCUE FACILITIES
BONDS: Shall the City of Santa Ama incur a
bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of
SZ, 681, 000 for the purpose of additions and
improvements to the fire protection system and
rescue facilities of the City including fire
stations, additions to the fire alarm and
communications system and other fire fighting
facilities, including additional fire station site
in various areas of the City, and including for all
the foregoing land, furniture, equipment,
facilities and all other property necessary therefor?
PROPOSITION B - CITY OF SANTA ANA
STORM DRAINS AND SEWER BONDS: Shall
the City of Santa Aha incur a bonded indebtedness
in the principal sum of $4, 988,000 for the
acquisition and construction by said City of
additions and improvements to the storm drainage
system of the City; additions, improvements and
replacements of the Sanitary sewer system of the
City including trunk and connecting sewers; and
including for all of the foregoing, land, equipment,
facilities and all other property necessary therefor?
PROPOSITION C - CITY OF SANTA ANA
OPEN SPACE LAND ACQUISITION (FOR GREENBELT,
PARK AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES) DEVELOP-
MENT BONDS: Shall the City of Santa A_ua incur
a bonded indebtedness in the principal sum of
$4, 64Z, 500 for the acquisition of open space and
park and recreational facilities development,
including establishment and development of neighbor-
hood parks, mini-parks and community recreational
facilities throughout the City including necessary land
and other property rights therefor and for the fore-
going, equipment, facilities and ail other property
necessary therefor?
Section 2. That the returns of said election have been duly
and regularly canvassed as provided by law, and all absentee ballots,
i~ any, returned have Been canvassed as provided by law, with said
certification of canvass at*ached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part
hereof as though set forth in full herein.
Section 3. That the votes cast in the precincts established
for said election upon said propositions and for and against said proposi-
tions, the absentee votes, if any, cast upon said propositions and for
and against said propositions, and the total vOtes cast at said electinn
for and against said propositions and upon said propositions are set
forth in Exhibit B attached hereto and made a part hereof as though set
forth herein in full.
Section 4. That the votes of less than two-thirds of all the
voters voting at said election upon each of said propositions were cast
in favor of the adoption of said bond proposition, and each of said bond
propositions is hereby declared to have failed to carry at said election.
Section 5. That the City Clerk of this City is hereby directed
to enter this resolution in full in the minutes of this City Council,
which entry shall constitute the City Clerk's statement of the result of
the election.
