A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA REGULATING THE USE OF
CITY BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FACILITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana provides re-
creational and park facilities to the children and
adults participating in City Park and Recreational
activities,
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department
of the City of Santa Ana hereinafter referred to as
"Department" by Charter provision Section 706 is
delegated the authority and responsibility to develop
and maintain adequate park and recreational facilities
and programs hereby declares the following procedures
to ensure maximum participation, efficiency and order-
liness in the conduct thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
(1) The "Department" shall have management and
control pursuant to Section 706 of the City Charter over
scheduling baseball and softball facilities in City or
City used Recreation facilities. The "Department" shall
provide, interpret and enforce all rules and regulations
in said recreation premises.
(2) The Superintendent of Recreation or his
authorized delegate shall represent the City on all
sports activity boards and committees of respective
athletic groups participating in Santa Ana recreation-
al activities.
(3) This program is provided to fulfill the
athletic/recreational needs of the youth and citizens
of this City and whereas conflict may arise, the
Superintendent of Recreation establishes the following
order of priority for the use of said facilities:
1. City of Santa Ana Parks and Recreation
Programs
Leagues, activities, or games involving
Santa Ana sponsored teams and/or par-
ticipants.
Leagues, activities, or games involving
predominately Santa Ana sponsored teams
and/or participants.

Leagues, activities, or games involving
at a minimum one Santa Ana sponsored team
and/or participant per game.
