RESOLUTION 73-47
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA ORDERING THE VACATION
OF A PORTION OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
WESTMINSTER AVENUE AND CENTURY BLVD.
W~EREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public Works
and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha, Resolution
73-28 was adopted giving notice of intention to vacate a portion
of the southeast corner of Westminster Avenue and Century Blvd.;
and
WHEREAS, Resolution 73-28 was published, and notice of inten-
tion to vacate was posted as required hy law; and
WHEREAS, on May 7, 1973, a public hearing was duly held on
said vacation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that the above named street is
no longer necessary for present or prospective street purposes,
and does hereby make its order to vacate said right of way. Said
right of way lies in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southerly corner of Lot 4 of said
Tract No. 538; thence North 53? 47' 30" West 96.39
feet along the Southwesterly line of said Lot 4 to
a point in a curve concave Easterly and having a
radius of 25.00 feet that is tangent to a line pa-
rallel with, and 36D0 feet Northeasterly from, the
centerline of Century Boulevard, and tangent to a
line that is parallel with, and 52.00 feet Southerly
from, the centerline of 17th Street, a radial of said
curve through said point bears North 79° 53' 28" West;
thence Southwesterly along said curve through a central
angle of 63° 54' 02" a distance of 27.88 feet to a tan-
gency with the above mentioned line that is parallel
with, and 36.00 feet Northeasterly from the centerline
of Century Boulevard; thence South 53° 47' 30" East
84.47 feet along said parallel line to the Southerly
prolongation of the Easterly line of said LOt 4;
thence North 0° 45' 07" West 17.52 feet along said
prolongation to the Point of Beginning.
Subject to covenants, conditions, reservations, restrictions,
rights of way and easements, if any, of record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of ~ay ·
1973.
