RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
PROCLAIMING INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS WEEK
WHEREAS,
the Santa Aha College has, in the interest of better
international relations with Mexico, established an
exchange of sports events with the Instituto Politec-
nico Nacional De Mexico; and
WHEREAS,
under the auspices of the same Santa Ana College, a
citizens' committee has been formed to function as
the "International Football Conunittee", so as to
facilitate programing related to our exchange of
sports events with the Instituto Politecnico Nacional
De Mexico; and
WHEREAS,
the International Football Committee desires to join
Mexico in celebration of its 163rd Anniversary of
Independence, and for this purpose has secured the
services of the Third Marine Aircraft Wing Marine
Band to join in raising the United States and Mexican
flags on September 1S, 1973, at 8:00 A.M., in the
Plaza of the Flags, Santa Ana Civic Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SANTA ANA hereby proclaims the week
of September 10 through September 16, 1973 as:
"INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS WEEK"
and urges all citizens and all community organizations
to join in the observance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana
at its Regular Meeting held on the 4th day of Septem-
ber, 1973.
