Home My WebLink About73-111RESOLUTION NO. 73-111 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DECLARING THE ANNEXA- TION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "WARNER AND GRAND SOUTH ANNEXATION" WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow contained and annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Ana, California; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved the within annexation and has autho- rized the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, to annex said territory without notice and hearing by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, hereby finds and declares that Resolutions 73-85 and 73-40 are rescinded in their entirety to correct typographical errors; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, hereby finds and declares that said territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this Resolution, and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all of the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at an angle point in the City of Santa Ana boundary being the most Northerly corner of "Irvine's Subdivision Annex No. 1 - Revised" to the City of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordi- nance NS-696, said point being at the intersection of a line parallel with and distant 46.00 feet Southeasterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Newport Avenue with the Westerly terminus of that certain course shown as South 67° 34' 11" East, 372.71 feet in said Irvine's Subdivision Annex No. 1 - Revised; thence along said City boundary as annexed by NS-696 and along said parallel line South 40° 39' 12" West a distance of 950.00 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence continuing along said City boundary North 49° 20' 48" West a distance of 16.00 feet to an angle point in said City boundary and to a line parallel with and distant 30.00 feet Southeasterly, measured at right angles, from said center line of Newport Avenue; thence continuing along said City boundary and along the last mentioned parallel line South 40° 39' 12" West a distance of 886.14 feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner of the "Dyer and Grand Northwest Annex" to the City of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance NS-884 thence along said City boundary and along the North line of NS-884 North 88° 36' 10" West a distance of 562.95 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence continuing along said City boundary North 43° 36' 06" West a distance of 35.36 feet to an angle point in said City boundary, being on the East line of Grand Avenue, 60.00 feet wide; thence continuing along said City boundary North 88° 36' 10" West a distance of 60.00 feet to a point on the East~line of the "Grand Avenue South of Warner Avenue West Annex" to the City of Santa Ana as annexed by RESOLUTION NO. 73-111 PAGE TWO Resolution 68-109, said point being distant South 1° 23' 50" West 706.87 feet from the Northeast corner of said Resolution 68-109; thence continuing along said City boundary and along the East line of said Resolution North 1° ~3' 50" East a distance of 706.87 feet to an angle point in said City boundary and to said Northeast corner of Resolution 68-109; thence con- tinuing along said City boundary and along the North line of said Resolution 68-109 North 89° 05' 55" West a distance of 485.70 feet to a point on the East line of the "S.E. Southern Pacific and Delhi Annex" to the City of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance NS-220, said point being distant North 0° 26' 50" East 243.20 feet from the Southeast corner of said NS-220; thence continuing along said City boundary and along the East line of said NS-220 North 0° 26' 50" East a distance of 908.80 feet to a point on the South line of the "Industrial Annex" to the City of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance NS-134, said point being distant North 89° 20' 15" West 517.43 feet from the center line of Grand Avenue and 30.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Warner Avenue; thence continuing along said City boundary South 89° 29' 15" East a distance of 542.43 feet to an angle point in said City boundary and to the East line of Grand Avenue, said line being 25.00 feet Easterly, measured at right angles, from said center line of Grand Avenue; thence continuing along said City boundary South 0° 33' 25" West a distance of 10.00 feet to an angle point in said City boundary and to a line parallel with and distant 20.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of said Warner Avenue; thence continuing along said City boundary South 89~ 20' 15" East a distance of 1592.00 feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner of the "Maywood and Ritchey Northwest Annex" to the City of Santa Ana by Resolution No. 70-46; thence continuing along the South line of said Resolution No. 70-46 South 89° 20' 15" East a distance of 356.95 feet to the Southeast corner of said Resolution No. 70-46, being on a line parallel with and distant 46.00 feet Southeasterly, measured at right angles, from the center line of said Newport Avenue, and to the Northwest line of the Warner-Sycamore Annexation to the City of Tustin by Ordinance No. 245; thence departing said City of Santa Ana boundary and continuing along said City of Tustin boundary South 40° 39' 12" West a distance of 268.55 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana to Ward No. 6 in said City, and said Annexation is by this Resolu- tion effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segrega- tion of this territory, the designation that applies is the "Santa Ana City 1957-58 Annexes." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That in accordance with Government Code Section 35318 the annexed territory will become a part of the City of Santa Ana from the date of filing by the Secretary of State. The Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Aha shall, without delay, transmit to the Secretary of State a certified copy of this Resolution.
