HomeMy WebLinkAbout73-116RESOLUTION 73-116 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SANTA CLARA AND GRAND NORTHEAST ANNEX NO. 3" TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow con- tained and annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Ana, California; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved the within annexation and has author- ized the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, to annex said territory without notice and hearing by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, hereby finds and declares that said territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this Resolution, and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all of the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the City existing at the time of this annexation; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Santa Clara and Wright Northwest Annex to the City of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance NS 584, being on the East line of the S.G. Brewer Lot in Block A of the Chapman Tract in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 102, Page 15 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said County; thence along said Santa Ana Boundary and along said East line, South 00© 05' 03" East a distance of 185.00 feet to the center line of Santa Clara Avenue and to the Southwest corner of said Santa Clara and Wright Northwest Annex; thence along said center line of Santa Clara Avenue and along the City of Santa Ana Bound- ary as annexed by Ordinance No. 73 South 89© 59' 13" West a distance of 545.97 feet to the Southeast corner of the Santa Clara and Grand Northeast Annex No. 1 to the City of Santa Ana by Resolution 69-79; thence along the East line of said Resolution 69-79 and along said City Boundary North 00© 01' 27" West, a distance of 140.00 feet to the North- east corner of said Resolution; thence along the North line of said Resolution and along said City Boundary South 89© 58' 17" West, a distance of 139.61 feet to the Southeast corner of the Santa,Clara and Grand NortheastAnnex No. 2 to the City of Santa Ana by Resolution 70-110, being on the East line of Grand Avenue, 80.00 feet wide, as shown on map of the Santa Ana Grand Avenue Tract which is re- corded in Book 26, Pages 53 and 54 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence along said East line of Grand Avenue and along the City of Santa Ana Bound- ary as annexed by said Resolution 70-110, North 07© 54' 42" East a distance of 727.61 feet to the Southwest corner of the Joana and Grand Southeast Annexation to the City of Santa Ana by Resolution 71-68; thence along the South line of said Resolution 71-68 and along the City of Santa Ana Boundary as anhexed by said Resolution 71-68; North 89© 47' 59" East a distance of 584.24 feet to the Southeast corner of said Resolution 71-68 and to said East line of the S.G. Brewer Lot; thence departing from said City Boundary along said East line South 00© 05' 03" East a distance of 15.60 to the Northwest corner of the Santa Clara and Wright N.E. feet RESOLUTION NO. 73-116 PAGE TWO Annex to the City of Santa Ana by Resolution 72-9; thence along the West line of said Resolution 72-9, South 00O 05' 03" East a distance of 661.78 feet to the point of begin- ning be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Santa Ana and to Ward No. 1 in said City, and said annexation is by this Resolution effected and declared. For the purpose of tax segregation of this territory, the designation that applies is the "Santa Ana City - 1957-1958 Annexes." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That in accordance with Government Code Section 35318 the annexed territory will become a part of the City of Santa Ana from the date of filing by the Secretary of State. The Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana shall, with- out delay transmit to the Secretary of State a certified copy of this Resolution.
