A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING
INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF THE SOUTH
5.00 FEET OF ST. GERTRUDE PLACE (70.00 FEET
WIDE EAST OF THE INTERSECTION OF STANDARD
AVENUE AND ST. GERTRUDE PLACE
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works and the Planning
Commission have recommended a public hearing be set on the
question of said vacation, a request for the vacation of a
portion of the south 5.00 feet of St. Gertrude Place (70.00
feet wide) east of the intersection of Standard AVenue and
St. Gertrude Place, herein described, has been received by
the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the same
filed with the original of this Resolution in the Office of the
Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map
for the exterior boundaries for said right of way proposed to
be vacated.
The City Council declares its intention to proceed under
the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Sections
8300-8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to
vacate that portion of the south 5.00 feet of St. Gertrude
Place (70.00 feet wide) east of the intersection of Standard
Avenue and St. Gertrude Place, in the City of Santa Ana,
County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
That portion of the South 5.00 feet of St.
Gertrude Place (70.00 feet wide) in the City
of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of
California, as shown on a Map of Tract 696,
recorded in Book 20, Pages 45 and 46 of
Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County
Recorder, County of Orange, State of Califor-
nia, bounded Easterly by the Northerly prolon-
gation of the West line of the Easterly 173.00
feet of Block E of said Tract 696, bounded
Westerly and Northwesterly by the arc of a
curve concave Southeasterly having a radius of
25.00 feet tangent Northerly with a line parallel
with and 30.00 feet Southerly, measured at right
angles, from the center line of said St. Gertrude
Place and tangent Westerly with the Easterly line
of Standard Avenue.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That December 3, 1973, at the
hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza,
Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the hour and the place
for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said pro-
posed street vacation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council
of the City of Santa Ana is hereby ordered to publish this
Resolution one time in the Register, and the Director of Public
Works is ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicuously
along the line of said street, stating the passage of this Resolu-
tion of Intention to Vacate and the time and place of hearing
thereon. Said notices shall be posted not more than 300' apart
and at least three (3) such notices shall be posted. Both pub-
lication and posting shall be completed at least ten C10) days
before the date of the hearing.
