A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA GRANTING TO SOUTHERN
PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, A CORP-
ORATION, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, A
PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE
A SPUR TRACK ACROSS YALE STREET IN THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA
W)fEREAS, Southern Pacific Transportation Company, a
corporation, has applied for a permit to construct, maintain
and operate its standard guage single spur track across
Yale Street in the City of Santa Ana, the center line of
which is described on the attached description marked
Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by this reference.
Reference is hereby made to the application of Southern
Pacific Transportation Company for said permit now on file
in the City of Santa Ana, and incorporated herein as if fully
set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: A permit is hereby granted to Southern Pacific
Transportation Company, a corporation, its successors and
assigns, to construct,maintain and operate a standard guage
single spL~r track across Yale Street as more particularly
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein.

This permit is specifically made subject to,
upon, the approval of the City Engineer as to
detailed plans and specifications relating to

costs for improving said grade crossinc including any crossin~
protection as may be ordered by the State of California Public
Utilities Commission, either now or in the future.
SECTION 4: The Clerk of the Council shall certify to the
passage of the Resolution and, thereupon, thE~ same shall take
effect and be in force.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the
day of Sanuary , 1974.

DESCRIPTION OF THE CENTERLINE
OF SPUR TRACK "D'1 ACROSS YALE STREET
Commencing at the point of intersection of the center-
lines of Segerstrom Avenue and Yale Street, as shown on that
certain map filed in Book 50, page 23 of Parcel Maps, in the
Office of the County Recorder of County of Orange, State of
California; thence southerly 322' along the centerline of said
Yale Street, 60' wide, to a point in that certain line designated
as "~ of proposed 30' Railroad easement" on said map; thence
easterly 30', at right angle to said centerline of Yale Street,
along said ~ of Railroad easement to a point in the easterly line
of Yale Street, being the "TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING"; thence
westerly along said ¢ of Railroad easement S.88o44'00"W. 13.64';
thence S.80o33'44"W.-46.84' to a point in westerly line of Yale
Street, said point being distant southerly 328.66' measured along
the northerly prolongation of last said westerly line, from its
intersection with the ~ of said Segerstrom Avenue.
