A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION
OF REAL PROPERTY IN ORDER TO WIDEN NORTH
MAIN STREET
BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that the public in-
terest and necessity require that in order to widen north
Main Street, the hereinbelow described real property be con-
demned.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That work is to begin immedia-
tely, and it is necessary for the City of Santa Ana to have
possession of the hereinbelow described property as soon as
possible.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That such acquisition is done
in a manner consistent with the greatest public good and the
lease private injury.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the attached map be entered
as Exhibit A and be used as an illustration of the hereinbelow
described property:
The Westerly 15.50 feet of Lot 10 in Block B of
Tract No. 315, in the City of Santa Ana, as shown
on a map thereof recorded in Book 14, Page 49, of
Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California.
Together with the right and easement to enter upon
the remaining portion of said lands of the owner for
the purpose of severing and removing the portions of
any building on said parcel which lies partly within
and partly without the above described parcel of land
and for the purpose of constructing and maintaining
any shoring, braces, foundations or walls necessary
to support the remaining improvements on said remaining
portion of said lands after severing and removing there-
from said portion of building at any time within 180
days after the date possession is authorized as indicated
in the order for possession, or within 188 days after
Final Judgment in condemnation, for the above enumerated
purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby
ordered to bring an action in the name of the City of Santa
Ana to condemn said property necessary to be taken and to do
all things necessary to prosecute said action to final deter-
mination.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana at its adjourned regular meeting held on the
11 day of March , 1974.
