A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA CREATING AN
INTERIM BIKE ROUTE FOR THE SANTIAGO CREEK TRAIL
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has an adopted Bike
Route Plan; and
WHEREAS,
significance,
and
the Santiago Creek Trail, being of County-wide
is an integral element of that Bike Route Plan;
W/tEREAS, due to technical problems prohibiting the
present completion of the route between the Santa Ana River
and Main Street; and
WHEREAS, in order to provide access from the Santa Ana
River to the east an interim route will be necessary; and
WPIEREAS, the Planning staff and Greenbelt Coordinator
of Orange County have considered alternative routes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Santa Ana adopts, as an interim Santiago Creek
route between the Santa Ana River and Main Street, Memory Lane
from the east side of the Santa Ana River to one block east
of Flower Street, through a residential alley to the Southern
Pacific Railroad tracks and the Santiago Creek.

Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 11 day of
March , 1974.
