A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA ADOPTING SENATE RESOLUTION 77
PASSED BY THE CALIFORNIA SENATE ON FEBRUARY
6, 1974
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Commission of the State of
California is presently conducting an investigation into the
interconnection of various customer provided devices to the
facilities of telephone utilities; and
WHEREAS, the California Senate has passed Senate Res-
olution No. 77 expressing its concern regarding this investi-
gation;and
WHEREAS, the Senate has asked that the Public utilities
Commission of the State of California provide complete assur-
ance that no action it may contemplate in this investigation
will have an adverse effect on telephone rates applicable
to the general public and particularly to low-income individuals
and small business.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana concurs with the concern expressed by
the California State Senate in Senate Resolution 77.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk send a copy
of this Resolution to the Public Utilities Commission of the
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the
day of April , 1974.
