A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ANMNDING FEES
FOR MISCELLANEOUS SALES AND SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Santa gna performs special services for the
benefit of a limited nt~nber of persons to whom such services are of
value; mad
WHEREAS, it is felt that the cost of rendering such services should
be borne by that limited group who are the beneficiaries rather than by
the citizenry at large; and
WH~, the City Council is of the opinion that uniform charges
should be established for such services, such charges to be paid by
those persons who request and receive such services; and
WHEREAS, The City Council is of the opinion also that the charges
established for such services should equate to the direct cost thereof
to the City of Santa Aha;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the foll~ing fees for services
and miscellaneous sales shall apply effective on the first day of July,
1974:

FEE FOR RESERVATION OF RECREATIONAL CFAFfERS
Recreatimal Centers may be reserved by any group or organization, when
official City meetings, hearings or City sponsored recreational activities
are not previously scheduled.
There will be no fee or charge for official City meetings, hearings or
activities sponsored by the Recreation Division unless there is an entry
charge or donati~% to participate in such activity. If the entry charge
or dmlation is required then a rental fee of $5.00 per hour shall be made
payable to the City of Santa Arm. In addition to all other fees, 10% of
gross monies collected through contribution shall be payable to the City
of Santa Arm, if the organization does not meet the definition of "chari-
table'' or "religious" purpose as defined in the Chapter 26 of the Santa
Aha Municipal Code.
In addition to all other fees, all persons, greups or organizations,
reserving recreational facilities must pay a $2S.00 refundable deposit
at such time as reservations are confirmad. This deposit is to defray
normal custodial and janitorial services.

BE IT FURTHER RKSOLVED: /hat copies of maps diagrams, graphs, or
special work may be furnished upon the payment of the cost of printing and
preparation. For these items for which a regular established price is
unavailable, the department head, in collaboration with the Director of
Finance, may establish a price consistent with the idea of cost recovery,
service involved, and convenience. The Director of Finance shall report
these exceptions to the City Manager. It shall be the responsibility of
the City Manager to review these costs annually and make such recomnenda-
tions to the City Council as required to keep the charges in line with the
costs. All governmental agencies and their official representatives shall
be exempt from paying these charges for single copies for official use.
