AREAS OF RAITT STREET AND WASHINGTON AVE~ -
WHEREAS, in order to provide and maintain the maximum traffic flow upon Raitt
Street and Washington Avenue, and to permit the establishment of bicycle lanes for
an increasing number of bicyclists, the full width of said streets must be employed
in certain areas during certain times of the day; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance of parking spaces upon said streets in those areas
during those certain times would constitute a considerable hazard to motorists and
bicyclists by reason of the necessity of closing traffic lanes to provide such
parking spaces;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That parking, stopping, or standing is hereby
prohibited between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. every day on the west side
of Raitt Street from Willits Street to Camille Place, on both sides of Raitt Street
from Myrtle Street to Washington Avenue, and on both sides of Washington Avenue from
Raitt Street to College Avenue.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular
meeting held on the 17th da? of June , 1974.
