Present: Councilmen Absent: Councilmen Bid acceptance Bristol Street Well Pu~p No. 18 Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, William Jerome, Courtney R. Chandler Milford W. Dahl A tabulation of bids was presented by the Manager for the furnishing and installing of Bristol Street Well Pump No. 18, as follows: Peerless Pump Division Total $7,444.00 Cashier's check in the sum of $750.00. Grand Total plus tax $ 7,741.76 Byron-Jackson Pumps, Inc. Total $6,925.00 plus tax Certified check in the sum of $800.00. $7, 202.00 Layne & Bowler Pump Co. Total $8,021.00 Sales Tax included Certified check in the sum of $850.00. Wintroath Pumps Total $9,005.75 plus tax Certified check in the sum of $1,000.00. $ ~,365.98 Johnston Pump Company Bond in the sum of $800.00. Total $7,806.08 Sales T~x included On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the bid of Byron-Jackson Pumps, Inc., in the sum of $7,202.00 Plans and Spec. Bristol St. from Washington to i7th, et al was accepted and all other bids rejected. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Mm~rkel and carried, the plans and speci- fications for the widening and improvement of Bristol Street from Washington to 17th Street; 17th Street from Bristol Street to Louise Street, and on Walnut Street from Plans and Spec. Assessment D~ou. 197 (Delhi area) Bristol Street 300 feet west, were approved. It was moved by Councilman Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, that the Director of Public Works be instructed to prepare the plans and specifications for the street' work to be done in the area within the Assessment District 197, the Delhi area south Proposed annexation Se~ers~rom Annex No. of Delhi Road. Petition signed by Anton H. Segerstrom, Henry T. Segerstrom and Harold T. Segerstom~ Jr., and report of the Boundary Commission were presented on the proposed annexation of approximately 109 acres being 2475 feet north of Talbert Road and on the east side of Harbor Boulevard. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and Reso. No. 56-209 ' Segerstrom Annex APPROVED: ~yor of~e 'City of S~ta ~a carried, said doc~unents were received and filed. The Council havi~ unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of CounciLman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 56-209 giving notice of proposed annexation to the City of Santa ~ma of that certain uninhabited territory described herein and designated 'Segerstrom Annex No. 2', and giving notice of time and place for hearing of protests thereto" was considered and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Dale H.
