HomeMy WebLinkAbout74-108RESOLUTION NO. 74-108 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING IN- TENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF OLD GRAND STREET. WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works and Planning Com- mission have recommended a public hearing be set on the ques- tion of said vacation, a request for the vacation of portions of Old Grand Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the same filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for the exterior boundaries of said right-of-way proposed to be vacated. The City Council declares its intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Section 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to va- cate a portion of Old Grand Street. Said right-of-way proposed to be vacated lies in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: Parcel 1 The Westerly lO.O0 feet of Lot 14,'Tract 7481, as shown on a map recorded in Book 809, Pages 41 and 42, Miscel- laneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California. Parcel 2 The Westerly lO.O0 feet of Lots l, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 44, Tract 8370, as shown on a map recorded in Book 337, Pages 33, 34 and 35, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California. Parcel 3 That portion of Old Grand Street, formerly called Grand Avenue, as shown on a map of the Santa Ana Grand Avenue Tract in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California recorded in Book 26, Page 53 and 54 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, described as follows: That portion of the Easterly lO.O0 feet of Old Grand Ave- nue bounded Northerly by a line parallel with and distant 140.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles from the center line of Santa Clara Avenue as shown on said map and bounded Southerly by the arc of a curve concave North- easterly having a radius of 25.00 feet and being tangent to the Westerly line of said Easterly 10.00 feet and also being tangent to a line parallel with and distant 40.00 feet Northerly, measured at right angles, from said center line of Santa Clara. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that August 5, 1974, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California, is hereby fixed as the hour and place for hear- ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vaca- tion. PAGE TWO 74-108 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the Council of the City of Santa Ana is hereby ordered to publish this Resolution one time in The Register, and the Director of Public Works is ordered to post notices of street vacation conspicously along the line of said street stating the passage of this resolution of Intention to Vacate and the time and the place of the hear- ing thereon. Said notices shall be posted not more than 300' apart and at least three (3) such notices shall be posted. Both publication and posting shall be completed at least ten (lO) days beofre the date of hearing.
