A RESOLUTICN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
FIXING ~l'~R PATES AND STAND-BY SERVICE CHARGES AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION 73-117.
WHEREAS, there are certain expenses involved in maintaining water facil-
ities and in producing and delivering water to the cons~ner; and
WHEREAS, the Water Utility wishes to recover said expenses frcm the con-
sum, r, based on the quantity of water used, with a minimum charge for stand-by
readiness;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the following water rates and
service charges are to be levied and collected for each water service turned
on, or to which a stand-by service is provided, by the Water Utility, as
provided for in Section 39-21 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code.

In the event of a fire certified by the Fire Depa~ ~_~nt the
charge will be adjusted to exclude water used for fire sup-
pression.
Private Fire Service Rates without Detector Check Valves, Bi-
M3nthly Stand-by Charge
The charges shall be double the rates for private fire ser-
vices with detector check valves.
C. SERVICE OUTSIDE CITY ~TS
All rates and service charges for service to pr~aises outside the
City limits shall be double the above rates and charges except to
pr~ises served at the rates charged inside the City limits prior
to adoption of this resolution.
D. Tt~ORAR~ NATER SEK%~CE
Water for coD~truction work aD~ other uses such that service is
required for only a limited time, not to exceed six months as
provided for in Section 39-26 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That Resolution 73-117 Fixing Water Rates and
Stand-by Service Charges is hereby rescinded.
BE IT ~ RESOLVED: That this Resolution shall be effective the
First day of October, 1974.
