A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS
FROM ITS ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM FUND FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF SEGERSTROM AVENUE FROM HARBOR BOULEVARD TO
THE SANTA ANA RIVER
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, by Resolution
No. 71-711, dated December 20, 1971, requested the County of Orange to
include within the Arterial Highway Financing Program the development of
Segerstrom Avenue from Harbor Boulevard to the Santa Ana River; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Supervisors by Resolution dated
March 7, 1972, approved the allocation of $17,000.00 from the Special Road
Improvement Fund for the fiscal year 1972-73 to be provided for construction
of Segerstrom Avenue from Harbor Boulevard to the Santa Ana River; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has previously budgeted $17,000.00 for
the construction of said Segerstr0m Avenue; and
WHEREAS, because of required design changes and increased labor and
material costs the allocation of additional funds for this project are re-
quired; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is allocating an additional $69,000 for
the construction of the road project which will be available for the fiscal
year 1974-75.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana does hereby request the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange
to allocate to the City of Santa Ana from County funds the additional amount
of $69,000, said amount to be matched by funds from said City to be used to
aid said City in the improvement of Segerstrom Avenue from Harbor Boulevard
to the Santa Ana River; said improvements to be in accordance with the pre-
viously submitted and approved project statement for the project.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha at its
regular meeting held on the 16th day of September , 1974.
