HomeMy WebLinkAbout74-155RESOLUTION NO. 74-155 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA PROCLAIMING "RETARDED CHILDREN CAN BE HELPED COMMEMORATIVE DAY" WHEREAS, the National Association for Retarded Citizens has for twenty-four years been an advocate of the rights of all re- tarded citizens; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Association for Retarded Citizens, a member of the National Association for Retarded Citizens, has devoted twenty-four years to the cause of advancing the rights of retarded citizens in the State of California; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Association, a member unit of the National Association for Retarded Children, has proven that retarded citizens can be helped; and WHEREAS, the United Postal Service has issued a commemorative stamp proclaiming "Retarded Children Can Be Helped." NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, I, Jerry M. Patterson, Mayor of the City of Santa Ana do hereby proclaim October 14, 1974, as "Retarded Children Can Be Helped Commemorative Day" in the City of Santa Ana. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at its Regular Meeting held on the 14th day of October, 1974.
