RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVING
AND ACCEPTING PETITION FOR CONSTRUCTION
OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS IN SPECIAL ASSESS-
MENT DISTRICT
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 239
WHEREAS, certain property owners have presented to this
City Council an executed petition requesting certain public works
of improvement together with appurtenances and appurtenant work with-
in the City of Santa Ana, said improvements to be financed through
the issuance of bonds to issue pursuant to the terms and provisions
of the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Division 7 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, said special assessment district shall hereinafter
be known and designated as ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 239; and
WHEREAS, it has been reported that said petition contains
the signatures of the owners of more than sixty percent (60%) in area
of the property to be subject to assessment for said proposed improve-
ment.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the above recitals are all true and correct.
SECTION 2. That this City Council hereby accepts the petition
signed by owners of more than sixty percent (60%) in area of the property
to be subject to assessment for the improvements requested in said pe-
tition.
SECTION 3. That said petition shall be filed in the office
of the City Clerk of said City.
SECTION 4. That said special assessment district shall
hereinafter be known and designated as ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 239.
SECTION 5. That said improvements and proceedings shall be
conducted pursuant to the terms and provisions of the "Municipal Improve-
ment Act of 1913," being Division 12 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California, to be financed through bonds to issue pur-
suant to the terms and provisions of the "Improvement Act of 1911,"
being Division 7 of said Streets and Highways Code.
