A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA RESTRICTING PARKING ON CERTAIN
PORTIONS OF FIFTH STREET.
WHEREAS, in order to provide and maintain the maximum traffic flow
upon Fifth Street, and to permit the establishment of bicycle lanes for
an increasing number of bicyclists, the full width of said streets must
be employed in certain areas during certain times of the day; and
WHEREAS, the maintenance o£ parking spaces upon said streets in those
areas during those certain times would constitute a considerable hazard to
motorists and bicyclists by reason of the necessity of closing traffic lanes
to provide such parking spaces; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That parking, is hereby prohibited
between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. every day on certain portions
of Fifth Street from Euclid St. to the S.P.R.R. tracks east of Fairview;
