A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING CONDEMNATION
OF REAL PROPERTY FOR STREET WIDENING
OF FLOWER STREET FROM PINE STREET
TO SANTA ANA BOULEVARD (A;P. 008-213-30)

BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa
Ana does hereby find and declare that the public interest and
necessity require that in order to widen Flower Street, the
hereinbelow described real property be condemned.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That work is to begin immediately,
and it is necessary for the City of Santa Ana to have possession
of the hereinbelow described property as soon as possible.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That such acquisition is done
in a manner consistent with the greatest public good and the
least private injury.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the attached map be entered
as Exhibit A and be used as an illustration of the hereinbelow
described property:

Ail that portion of Lot 4, excepting the North 4 feet
thereof, of the Pine Street Tract, in the City of Santa
Ana, as shown on a map recorded in Book 8, Page 59,
Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County,
described as follows:
Parcel 1: That portion of said Lot 4 lying Easterly
of a line parallel with and distant 40 feet Westerly,
measured at right angles, from the following des-
cribed line;
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of
Flower Street with the centerline of Pine Street
extending Eastward from Flower Street as shown on
a map of Tract No. 101 in the City of Santa Ana,
recorded in Book 11, Page 1, Miscellaneous Maps
of said Orange County; thence Northerly in a straight
line to the intersection of the centerline of Orange
Street (now called Flower Street) with the center-
line of Fourth Street (now called Santa Ana Boulevard),
as shown on a map of the Ross Addition to Santa Ana
in the City of Santa Ana recorded in Book 3, Pages
534 and 535, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is hereby
ordered to bring an action in the name of the City of Santa Ana
to condemn said property necessary to be taken and to do all
things necessary to prosecute said action to final determination.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is ordered
to obtain immediate possession of that portion of the above
described property together with the right to enter upon the
remaining property where necessary for construction and severing
purposes.
