Home My WebLink About76-060TD:adg RESOLUTION 76-60 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING A MAP AND DECLARING INTENTION TO VACATE PDRTIONS OF OLD GRAND STREET BETWEEN JOANA DRIVE AND SANTA CLARA AVENUE, FORMERLY CALLED GRAND AVENUE; DIRECTING THE CLERK OF COUNCIL TO FILE SAID MAP IN HER OFFICE; DESCRIBING SAID STREET; SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON; AND DIRECTING NOTICE HEREOF TO BE POSTED AND PUBLISHED BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: Section 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby approve that certain map entitled "Abandonment No. 81 - Portion of Old Grand Street", as the map showing those portions of Old Grand Street between Joana Drive and Santa Clara which this Council hereinafter declares its intention to vacate. Section 2: The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to file said map in her office where the same may be examined by any and all persons desiring to do so. Section 3: Pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, this Council does hereby declare its intention to order the vacation of, and to vacate, those portions of Old Grand Street between Joana Drive and Santa Clara Avenue delineated for such purpose on said map, as parcels 1,2,3, and 4, to which reference is hereby made for full and further particulars, and which portions of Old Grand Street between Joana Drive and Santa Clara Avenue hereinafter described. Section 4: Notice hereby given that the hour 7:30 p.m. or as soon there- after as the matter can be heard, on the 6th day of July, 1976, in the Council Chambers of the City of Santa Aha, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California, a public hearing will be held by this Council at which time any and all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of portions of Old Grand Street, between Joana Drive and Santa Clara Avenue hereinafter described, may appear and be heard. Section 5: The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to cause this Resolution to be published at least once in "The Register", a news- paper of general circulation in the City, within fifteen (15) days after the date of adoption of this Resolution and at least ten (10) days before the date set for said hearing. RESOLUTION NO. 76-60 PAGE TWO Section 6: The Director of Public Works is hereby directed to post conspicuously, in the manner prescribed by law, notice of the adoption of this resolution, containing the statement of the time and place of hearing hereinabove set forth, along the lines of 01d Grand Street between Joana Drive and Santa Clara Avenue, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, which are proposed to be vacated, at least ten (10) days before the date set for said hearing. Such notices shall be posted not more than three hundred feet (300') apart, but at least three (3) should be posted. Section 7: Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2381 of Chapter 8 of Division 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Calif- ornia, the City Council does hereby find and determine that none of said street, nor parts thereof are useful as bicycle paths or routes. Section 8: more Said portions of said street proposed to be vacated are fully described as follows: Parcel 1 BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEASTERLY CORNER OF LOT 46 OF TRACT 7287, RECORDED IN BOOK 273, PAGES 45-46 OF MISCELLANEOUS MAPS, RECORDS OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA; THENCE ALONG THE SOUTHERLY PROLONG- ATION OF THE EASTERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 46 BEARING S 00° 01' 27" W A DISTANCE OF 108.52 FEET TO THE BEGINNING OF A TANGENT CURVE CONCAVE NORTHWESTERLY AND HAVING A RADIUS OF 13.00 FEET; THENCE SOUTHWESTERLY ALONG SAID CURVE THROUGH A CENTRAL ANGLE OF 76° 39' 29" AND AN ARC LENGTH OF 17.39 FEET TO A POINT OF INTER- SECTION WITH A LINE PARALLEL TO AND 10.00 FEET WESTERLY OF SAID SOUTHERLY PROLONGATION.
