RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA VACATING PORTIONS OF OLD GRAND STREET BETWEEN JOANA DRIVE AND SANTA CLARA AVENUE, FORMERLY CALLED GRAND AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana: WHEREAS, this Council heretofore adopted, on June 7, 1976, a Resolution No. 76-60, wherein it declared its inten- tion to vacate, pursuant to and in accordance with the pro- visions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, four portions of Old Grand Street (formerly called Grand Avenue) between Joana Drive and Santa Clara Avenue, said portions of said street being specifically described in said resolution and reference being made in said resolution to a certain map on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Council for full particulars as to such proposed vacation; and WHEREAS, said resolution gave notice that on Tuesday, the 6th day of July, 1976, at 7:30 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the Council Chambers of the City Council, in the City Hall of the City of Santa Ana, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California, this Council would hear any and all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation of said portions of Old Grand Street (formerly called Grand Avenue) between Joana Drive and Santa Clara Avenue; and WHEREAS, this Council finds that said resolution has been published in the manner prescribed by law for the publishing of ordinances of the City; and WHEREAS, this Council further finds that notices of said proposed street vacation stating the purpose of said resolution and time and place set for hearing, were posted as directed by the Council and required by law; and WHEREAS, this Council, at the time and place set for hearing has heard any and all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation of said portions of said street, and has received and considered all evidence submitted; and WHEREAS, this Council finds, from all the evidence submitted, that the portions of the said street, described in the above mentioned resolution, and described more fully in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, are unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2381 of Chapter 8 of Division 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, this Council does hereby find and determine that none of said street, nor parts there- of are useful as bicycle paths or routes; and RESOLUTION NO. 76-70 PAGE TWO NOW, THEREFORE, this Council does hereby order that the portions of old Grand Street (formerly called Grand Avenue) between Joana Drive and Santa Clara Avenue, in the City of Santa Ana, more fully described in Exhibit A attached hereto, be and are hereby vacated. Beginning at the Southeasterly corner of Lot 46 of Tract 7287, recorded in Book 273, pages 45-46 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence S 89° 56' 51" W along the Southerly line of Lot 46, Tract 7287 a distance of 10.00 feet to a point of intersection with a line parallel to and 10.00 feet Westerly of the Southerly prolongation of the East line of said Lot 46; thence S 00~ 01' 27" W along said parallel line a distance of 181.84 feet to the true point of beginning, said point being a point on a curve concave Southwesterly having a radius of 13.00 feet; a radial from said point bears S 13~ 21' 58" W; thence along said curve through a central angle of 76~ 39' 29" an arc length of 17.39 feet.
