RESOLUTION NO, 76-90
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA APPROVING A MAP AND ORDERING THE
SUMMARY VACATION OF ROOSEVELT AVENUE AND SILVER
DRIVE WEST OF EUCLID STREET AND DIRECTING THE
PUBLICATION OF THIS RESOLUTION.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana:
The City Council does find that Roosevelt Avenue
west of Euclid Street has been relocated to the following
described right-of-way~ to wit~
The Northerly 50 feet of the Southerly 187
feet of the North 8 aGres of the South
one-half of the Northeast Quarter of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 8, Township 5
South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Las
Bolsas, in the City of Santa Aha, County of
Orange, State of California.
The City Council does find that Silver Drive west
of Euclid Street has been relocated to the following described
right-of-way, to wit:
That portion of Silver Drive as shown on
a map of Tract No. 366 in the City of Santa
Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
recorded in Book 15, Page 23 of Miscellaneous
Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of
said County.
The City Council hereby approves that certain map
entitled "Proposed Street Vacation Map" as the map showing
those portions of Roosevelt Avenue and Silver Drive which
are superseded by said relocations and which this Council
hereinafter declDres vacated.
On recommendation of the Director of Public Works
of the City of Santa Ana, this Council does hereby find and
declare that those certain portions of Roosevelt Avenue and
Silver Drive, indicated on the aforesaid map as Parcels 1
through 13, inclusive, have been superseded by the reloca-
tion of said streets and are unnecessary for present or pros-
pective street purposes. Therefore, this City Council does
hereby make its order pursuant to California Streets and
Highways Code Division 2.5, Chapter 5, ~ 1930 et seq. abandon-
ing and vacating for street purposes, those portions of
Roosevelt Avenue and Silver Drive west of Euclid Street in
the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
described more fully as follows:

Parcel 1: The southerly five feet of the following
described property:
The West 235 feet of the East 1055 feet of the
North 143 feet of the North 8 Acres of the South
one-half of the Northeast quarter of the South-
east quarter and the South 2 acres of the North
one-half of the Northeast quarter of the South-
east quarter of Section 8, Township 5 South, Range
10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian.
Parcel 2: The Southerly 5 feet of the following
described property:
The West 75 feet of the East 820 feet of the
North 143 feet of the following: The North 8
acres of the South half of the Northeast quarter
of the Southeast quarter and the South 2 acres
of the North half of the Northeast quarter of
the Southeast quarter of Section 8; Township 5,
South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and
Meridian.
Parcel 3: The South 5 feet of the West 67.00 feet
of the East 477.00 feet of the North 143.00 feet of the following:
The North 8 acres of the South half of the
Northeast quarter of the Southeast quarter and
the South 2 acres of the North half of the North-
east quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 8,
in Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho
Las Bolsas, as shown on a map thereof recorded in
Book 51, page 12, Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County.
Parcel 4: The South 5 feet of the North 143 feet
of the West 60 feet of the East 410 feet of the following des-
cribed land:
The North 8 acres of the South half of the North-
east quarter of the Southeast quarter and the
South 2 acres of the North half of the Northeast
quarter of the Southeast quarter of Section 8, in
Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho
Las Bolsas, as shown on a map thereof recorded in
book 51, page 12, Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County.
Parcel 5 and 6: The Southerly 5.00 feet of the West
57.00 feet and the Southerly 5.00 feet of the East 50.00 feet
of the following described land:
Beginning at a point 187 feet North of a point
168 feet West of the Southeast corner of the
North 8 acres of the South one-half of the
Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of
Section 8, Township 5 South, Range 10 West, San
Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence West 50
feet; thence North 45 feet; thence West 25 feet;

thence South 45 feet; thence West 57 feet;
thence North 143 feet; thence East 132 feet;
thence South 143 feet to the point of beginning.
Parcels 7 and 8: The North 5.00 feet of the following
described lands
The West 100.00 feet of the South 137.00 feet of
the East 350.00 feet of the North 8 acres of the
South half of the Northeast quarter of the South-
east quarter of Section 8, Township 5 South, Range
10 West, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 51, page
12 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
California, in the Rancho Las Bolasa.
Parcel 9: The Northerly 5.00 feet of Lot 3 in Block
B of Tract No. 366, City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
of California, as per map recorded in Book 15, Page 23 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of Orange
County.
Parcel 10: The Northerly 5.00 feet of the North
half of Lot 4, in Block "B" of Tract Number 366, in the County
of Orange, State of California, as per map thereof recorded
in Book 15, Page 23, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County.
Parcel 11: The North 5 feet of Lot 5 in Block B of
Tract No. 366, as per map recorded in Book 15, Page 23 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, records of Orange County.
Parcels 12 and 13: The North 5.00 feet of Lot 6,
Block B, of of Tract No. 366, as shown on a map recorded in
Book 15, page 23 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California.
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2381 of Chap-
ter 8 of Division 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the
State of California, the City Council does hereby find and
determine that none of the aforesaid parts of said streets
are useful as bicycle paths or routes.
The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to cause
this Resolution to be published at least once in "The Register",
a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the
2nd day of August , 1976.
