A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA EXTENDING TO THE INTER-
NATIONAL POLICE ASSOCIATION AN INVITATION
TO HOLD ITS 51ST ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN THE
CITY OF SANTA ANAt CALIFORNIA ON JANUARY
2, 1978.
WHEREAS, the annual conference of the International
Police Association affords a valuable opportunity for Police
Officials of the Republic of Mexico, the States of that
nation, and border states of the United States of America to
meet for the purpose of discussing common problems of law
enforcement and increasing international police cooperation; and
WHEREAS, Police Officials of the City of Santa Ana have
in the past and will in the future participate in such con-
ferences, to the mutual benefit of the City of Santa Ana and
other jurisdictions involved in such conferences; and
WHEREAS, this Council desire to extend to the membership
of the International Police Association an invitation to hold
its 51st Annual Conference in the City of Santa Ana on January
2, 1978;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Santa Ana:
That this Council does hereby extend to each and all of
the members of the International Police Association an invitation
to meet in the City of Santa Ana for its annual conference on
January 2, 1978.
The Clerk of the Council is hereby directed to convey said
invitation to the International Police Association by copy hereof.
