RESOLUTION NO. 76-146
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIGNATING 12.4
ACRES LOCATED AT GREENVILLE STREET AND WARNER
AVENUE FROM COMMUNTTY SHOPPING CENTER TO
MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its October ll,
1976, regular meeting, following public hearing noticed and held
in the manner prescribed in Section 27-16 of the Santa Ana Muni-
cipal Code, has approved and recommended to this Council an amend-
ment to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter
set forth; and
WHEREAS, this Council, on December 6, 1976, has held
a public hearing, duly noticed, in accordance with Section 27-17
of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, and based upon such hearing and
the evidence therein presented, does now find the said amendment,
as recommended by the Planning Commission, to be in the public
interest, and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action has
reviewed and considered the negative declaration prepared for
this General Plan amendment, designated initial study number 76-140,
and does now find that such amendment will not have a significant
effect on the environment for the reasons set forth therein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Land Use Element
of the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended
by deleting a site consisting of approximately 12.4 Acres, located
on the south-west corner of Warner Avenue and Greenville Street,
from the Community Shoppinq Center designation and redesignating
such site as medium density residential, in accordance with that
certain document entitled "Exhibit 76-4, General Plan Amendment
No. 76-4," on file with the Clerk of the Council.
