RESOLUTION NO. 76~S0
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIGNATING ~3.55
ACRES LOCATED BETWEEN ROSS, VAN NESS, FIRST,
AND THIRD STREETS FROM GOVERNMENT AND CIVIC
FACILITIES TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its November 22,
1976, regular meeting, following public hearing noticed and held
in the manner prescribed in Section 27-16 of the Santa Ana Muni-
cipal Code, has approved and recommended to this Council an amend-
ment to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter
set forth; and
WHEREAS, this Council, on December 20, 1976, has held a
public hearing, duly noticed, in accordance with Section 27-17
of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, and based upon such hearing and
the evidence therein presented, does now find the said amendment,
as recommended by the Planning Commission, to be in the public
interest; and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action, has
reviewed and considered the information contained in the Environ-
mental Impact Report prepared and certified by the Santa Ana Re-
development Agency as the lead agency for the project proposed
for the area of this General Plan amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Land Use Element
of the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended by
deleting a site consisting of approximately 13.55 acres, located
between Ross, Van Ness, First, and Third streets, from the Govern-
ment and Civic Facilities designation and redesignating such site
as High-density Residential, in accordance with that certain docu-
ment entitled "Exhibit 76-5, General Plan Amendment 76-5," on file
with the Clerk of the Council.
