RESOLUTION NO. 77-25
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE AND OPEN
SPACE ELEMENTS OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY REDESIG-
NATING 2.46 ACRES LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
CIVIC CENTER DRIVE BETWEEN RAITT STREET AND
WESTERN AVENUE FROM OPEN SPACE TO MEDIUM-DENSITY
RESIDENTIAL
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at its January 10,
1977 regular meeting, following public hearing noticed and
held in the manner prescribed in Section 27-16 of the Santa
Ana Municipal Code, has approved and recommended to this Coun-
cil an amendment to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana,
as hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, this Council, on February 22, 1977, has held
a public hearing, duly noticed in accordance with Section 27-
17 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, and based upon such hear-
ing and the evidence therein presented, does now find the said
amendment, as recommended by the Planning Commission, to be
in the public interest; and
WHEREAS, this Council, prior to taking this action has
reviewed and considered the negative declaration prepared for
this General Plan Amendment, designated initial study number
76-241, and does now find that said Amendment will not have a
significant effect on the environment for the reasons set forth
therein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Land Use and
Open Space elements of the General Plan of the City of Santa
Ana are hereby amended by deleting a site consisting of approxi-
mately 2.46 acres, located on the south side of Civic Center
Drive between Raitt Street and Western Avenue from the open
space designation and by redesignating such site to medium-
density residential, in accordance with that certain document
entitled "Exhibit 76-9, General Plan Amendment No. 1976-9"
on file with the Clerk of the Council.
