A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 3 OF
RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 TO CHANGE TWO CLASS
TITLES AND PROVIDE CERTAIN COMPENSATION
ADJUSTMENTS FOR UNREPRESENTED MANAGEMENT
CLASSES
WHEREAS, on June 30, 1977, the City Manager delivered to this Council a
report and recon~mendation concerning proposed salary adjustments for the classes
of employment hereinbelow specified; and
WHEREAS, this Council has intended, and now intends, that said adjustments
be effective from and after July 1, 1977, on which date salary rates for said classes
were indefinite and subject to future determination, but has been unable to determine
said salary adjustments until this date by reason of the fact that insufficient time
has been available until the present date in which to consider the matters fully and
make the determinations hereinbelow set forth. For said reason, this Council finds
and determines that said salary adjustments, hereinbelow specified, shall be retro-
active to July 1, 1977; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to change the titles of two of the classes speci-
fied below, to adjust the salary range allocations for all executive management
classes, and to add an employee benefit previously granted to subordinate level
unrepresented middle management personnel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana,
as follows:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, as amended, is hereby further
amended by:
Changing the class titles of Executive Director of Administrative
Services and Executive Director of Cormmunity Services to Deputy
City Manager; and
b. Assigning to the following class titles the new salary range
numbers, from and after the operative date of this resolution:

2. That Section 3.2, added to Resolution No. 58-281 by Resolution No. 76-83,
is hereby renumbered to Section 3.1.1, and that the following subsection is hereby
added to said Section 3.1.1, as follows:
j. Disability Insurance. Effective January 1, 1978, the City shall pay
the full premium for a long-term disability insurance plan for all employees designated
as unrepresented Executive Management (EM).

3. That Section 3.2, added to Resolution No. 58-281 by Resolution No. 76-85,
and referring to the "Middle-Management Compensation Plan", is hereby renumbered to
Section 3.1.2.
4. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after July 1, 1977.
