A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 58-281 CORRECTING
THE COMPENSATION SCHEDULE FOR THE CLASS OF ASSISTANT
CITY ENGINEER
WHEREAS, on November 3, 1958, the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 58-281, revising and re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan
for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa
Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classifi-
cation and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval
of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has from time to time amended said Resolution;
and
WHEREAS, on December 28, 1976 the City Council approved Resolution No.
76-154 designating the Assistant City Engineer as middle management and providing
compensation adjustments for the class; and
WHEREAS, a mathematical error was made in setting forth future salary
range adjustments for the class of Assistant City Engineer in accordance with the
two-year compensation plan previously adopted by the City Council for middle
management classification; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to correct the error and adjust the remaining
portion of the two-year compensation plan to reflect the salary ranges that had
originally been intended to be associated with the class.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281,
as amended, is further amended by revising the salary range numbers and effective
dates for the class of Assistant City Engineer as next herein set out:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this amendment shall take effect on
September 1, 1977.
