NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Aha: That the City of Santa Ana urges the Legislature and the Governor of California to i~ediately take all action made necessary by changes in federal policy and amend existing law, specifically California Public Resources Code, Sections 25524.1 and 25524.2, that now impede or prevent the timely licensing of essential power projects. That the City of Santa Ana would support the enactment of Assembly Bill 1852 if it were amended to produce the above result. That the City of Santa Ana urges other Southern Cali- fornia cities and local agencies who will be provided electric power from any project to enact similar resolutions urging reform of the State laws. That upon adoption of this Resolution by the City Coun- cil of the City of Santa Ana, the Clerk of the Council is directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to the office of the Gover- nor of the State of California.
