A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA COMMENDING THE ESTABLISH-
MENT OF THE BOWERS MOBILE MUSEUM PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Bowers Museum has enriched the lives
of Orange County residents since its establishment in
1932; and
WHEREAS, the number of people whose lives are
enhanced by visits to the Bowers Museum has grown to
surpass 100,000 annually; and
WHEREAS, the Bowers Museum has long been committed
to being responsive to the growing cultural and educational
requirements of the people of Orange County as its popula-
tion has expanded; and
WHEREAS, the Bowers Museum, in keeping with that
commitment, has developed a Mobile Museum - - a 10 by 40
foot trailer unit, with a trained crew which will bring
the riches of the Museum out into the County's schools,
hospitals, parks, and community centers; and
WHEREAS, the Bowers Museum acknowledges with deep
appreciation the financial assistance for the Mobile Museum
Program provided by the United States Department of Labor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA does hereby proudly commend the Bowers
Museum for its continuing dedication and commitment to ser-
ving Orange County's cultural and educational needs and does
further urge each and every Orange County citizen, and es-
pecially its youth, to enjoy the Bowers Mobile Museum experience
whenever the opportunity arises.
