The Mayor ~nnounced this is the time amd place for hearing protests or objections
against the improvement of Mai~ Street between Edinger ~et and Delhi Road, by
the installation amd placing in operation of an or~--~utal street lightimg system,
in Assessment District No. 201, as described in Resolution of Intention No. 58-1~1,
and asked the Clerk if she was in possession of the affidavit of publication,
affidavit of post!~g and affidavit of mailing. The Clerk stated she h~ the
affidavits, and on motion of Councilman Hall, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the
affidavits w~re received and filed. The Mayor asked the Clerk if she had received
any written protests or objections against the do~g of the proposed work. The
Clerk stated she had received a written protest from Louis Goo~-~n, which was read,

received and filed. Louis G~mau objected to the proposed improvements due to
the increased tax burden and the proposed lighting system w~uld not benefit the
merchants on Main Street as the majority of the businesses ar~ closed at 5:00 P.M.

that it would be a detriment to the shopping trade. The Clerk read two protests

C~,-~el F-2 is not constructed and in operation within the one y~ar period as re-
quired by law, at which time the subdivider has not filed his request, an extension
