HomeMy WebLinkAbout78-064DMF:ar 5/24/78 RESOLUTION NO. 78-64 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE TO ALLOCATE SAFER OFF-SYSTEM ROADS PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE 1976-77 FISCAL YEAR. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, by Resolution No. 78-63 , dated June 5, 1978, has approved the Orange County ~a-~ Off-System Roads and the method of distribution of funds; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana ("City") has iden- tified the need for safety improvements for portions of cer- tain eligible City streets that are not on a federal system; and WHEREAS, the County of Orange, by appropriate ac- tion, intends to allocate the Safer Off-System Roads Program funds to eligible agencies on a fiscal year basis for said safety improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1. The City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to City from the Safer Off-System Roads Program Funds the amount of Forty-seven Thousand One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($47,150.00) for the fiscal year 1976-77, said amount to be matched by funds from City based on the approximate ratio of 83 percent Safer Off-System Roads Program funds to a minimum of 17 per- cent City funds for the construction of said safety improve- ments. 2. City's Director of Public Works is hereby di- rected to submit this request to the Orange County Board of Supervisors through the County's Arterial Highway Financ- ing Program technical staff. 3. City's Director of Public Works is hereby di- rected to prepare and submit at the earliest opportunity the necessary field review forms to the California Depart- ment of Transportation, District 7, for the required review of the proposed project(s). 4.
