A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE
TO SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR A
BURGLARY AND STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERY PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a certain
project designated "Burglary and Stolen Property Recovery Project"
to be funded in total from funds made available through the
Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90-351,
as amended, (hereafter referred to as the Crime Control Act)
a~inistred by the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration
(hereafter referred to as LEAA).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana:
1. That the Chief of Police is authorized to execute, on
behalf of the City of Santa Ana, and submit that
certain "Application for Grant for Law Enforcement
Purposes" to LEAA.
That the City of Santa Ana agrees to provide all
in-kind services required for said project (including
any extension or amendment thereof) under the Crime
Control Act and the rules and regulations of LEAA.

That grant fun~s received hereunder shall not be
used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled
by this body.
