A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION 77-84 TO ADJUST THE COMPENSATION FIXED
AND ESTABLISHED FOR THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, the Office of City Manager of the City of Santa Aha became vacant
effective August 4, 1978 due to the resignation of Mr. Bruce C. Spragg; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on July 25, 1978 desiring to appoint a current
officer of the City to serve as Acting City Manager until the recruitment and
selection of a permanent replacement can be made, appointed City Attorney Keith
L. Gow, to serve in a dual capacity as Acting City Manager-City Attorney, effective
August 4, 1978; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intended, and now intends that the City Attorney's
compensation be adjusted effective from and after August 4, 1978, in consideration
of the additional duties and responsibilities he has assumed as Acting City Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana:
That Resolution No. 77-84 be amended to change the salary fixed and
established for the Office of City Attorney from $3,520.00 per month
to $4,000.00 per month.

That said adjusted salary shall be paid in the same manner and at the
same time as other monthly salaries in the City are paid, and shall take
effect and be paid from and after August 4, 1978.
3. That the remaining provisions of Resolution No. 77-84, pertaining to
certain employee benefits, shall remain unchanged.
